Q: If a commercial is non-union, can I hire you to drive in it?
A: No, sorry! As much as we would love to work with you, we are SAG drivers. And you know what they say: “You get what you pay for!!” ;)
A: Great question! Here are a few things you can look for:
- Check out the driver’s IMDb link. You’ll see all the TV shows and films we’ve driven in. TV and film work is incredibly demanding! You have to have excellent driving skills to get that kind of work consistently.
- Inquire about the driver’s training. Where did they learn? What school(s) did they attend? What license(s) and certifications do they have?
- (AWD drivers have all attended top, accredited Stunt Driving Schools. We’ve got extra certifications too. Happy to tell you more! )
- And we love to play at the track on our days off! Practice, practice… we love it!
Q. Can a male driver wear a wig to “double” a female on-camera talent?
A: NO - it’s against SAG/AFTRA regulations.
(Thank goodness there are such good female drivers available, right? :))))))))
Q. If we hire one of your female drivers are we required to hire only female drivers?
A: No! We love working with the guys and they love working with us. When you call us, we’re just going to make sure you get the best female drivers available, for the right roles!
(Think of it though: how cool would it be to shoot a commercial with all women drivers… No offense, guys!)
